Glossary of Terms
DLR
Detection Level for purposes of reporting. It is the
minimum concentration at which a constituent in water can
be found to be as determined by the California Department
of Health Services.
MCL
Maximum contaminant level allowed under government
regulations for constituents in drinking water. The
number of milligrams per liter, or parts per million, is
shown as mg/l.
ND
Not detected
NS
This means no detection limit for reporting or standard,
state or federal, has been established.
NTU
Nepholometric Turbidity Units or a measure of water
clarity.
