Henry Weinhard's Brewery

We didn’t go for the tour this time since it was the weekend and they aren’t available. You can't miss Henry's brewer when walking around Portland downtown due to its size. Lots of grain cars, warehouses full of contract brews, steam rising from the brewhouse, and fermenters as tall as our hotel. Fun to check out. Just a quick visual reminder of what a huge brewery looks like.

We stopped for a few picture portraits of us standing next to all the cases of contract brew being stored in their warehouses. If you ever get the chance its worthwhile to take the tour of the brewery. In addition to all the contract brews, Henry's makes a real decent beer not normally available to us in CA. The beer is supposedly only available in Portland, OR. and I think its called Blitz Weinhards reserve or something like that. I believe it to be a pre-prohibition pilsner.
