How can you
spot an American beer-drinker? The label is peeled off
the bottle, the mug has foam on top and there are
pretzels close by. So says Coors Brewing Co. survey of
368 beer lovers at the 1996 Great American Beer Festival,
held last month in Denver.
Among the
survey's findings: 62 percent of beer drinkers don't wait
for the foam to disappear before drinking; 56 percent
peel the labels from a beer bottle; 65 percent prefer to
drink beer from a mug, while 34 percent like it straight
from the bottle.
