All amateur beer homebrewers are invited to compete in the tenth annual Bay Area Brewoff on January 20, 1996, at Lyon’s Brewery of Dublin. First, Second, and third place awards will be given in eight categories in the AHA recognized event.

The competition will again be hosted by the Draught Board Homebrew Club at Lyon’s (7294 San Ramon Blvd., Dublin, CA 94568). Categories for judging are dry stout, bock, porter, pale ale, India pale ale, barleywine / wheatwine, holiday, and mead.

Entries must be received at Lyon’s by January 6, 1996. Please do not send entries before December 31, 1995. Entries must consist of two 12 oz. unmarked bottles, $6.00 per entry (checks made out to the Draught Board), and a label attached to each bottle with a rubber band. The label should state the entrant’s name, address, phone number, club affiliation, category, subcategory, and any special ingredients. One entry per person per category, please.
